Christmas 2010
Proper Job’s stage adaptation of CS Lewis' classic tale, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is back by popular demand. The dynamic performance is set to once again enchant audiences when it arrives at the Bury Met on the 14th December this year with 40 young people from the local community taking part.
The popular children’s story was brought to life at Darwen Library Theatre in December 2007, and again at Halifax Square Chapel Centre for the Arts in Christmas 2009 to sell out audiences.
In wartime England four children are evacuated to an old house where they find a magic wardrobe. Inside they find the enchanting land of Narnia; a Kingdom where it's always winter but never Christmas; a Kingdom on the verge of an epic conflict between an evil Snow Queen and a courageous lion.
Theatre director, James Beale, created a magical show enjoyed by children and adults alike.
“You made a lot of people very happy” - audience member.
