Access SEAL

The Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning package developed by the Department for Education and Skills is available to all primary schools. The programme focuses on; children’s difficulties in understanding and managing their feelings, working co-peratively in groups, motivating themselves and demonstrating resilience in the face of setbacks.

In schools where the programme has been piloted it has had more impact on SATs than any other targeted primary strategy initiative

Proper Job will give the teachers within a school the skills and confidence to pick up the SEAL package and make it work for their pupils. We will do this by:

SEAL has the potential to improve schools but the teachers have to be confident with the package in order for it to become a valuable resource. We will provide this link, resulting in creative, confident teaching in this and other subject areas.
