Administrator Vacancy:

Proper Job is looking for an administrator to work in our Huddersfield office.
We require someone who can work on their own initiative, provide general and technical administration, and well as assistance to the directors and project managers.

Experience in Microsoft Office is necessary and a willingness to learn and be trained in general book keeping.

Hours: 20 per week (over Monday to Friday)
Salary: £16,000-£18,000 pa pro rata (depending on experience)

Biomechanics Workshops

Following the sell-out success of the last 5 years, Proper Job once again invites actors to a series of workshops in Meyerhold's Theatrical Biomechanics.
Biomechanics is a unique approach to movement training, developed by Russian theatre visionary Vsevold Meyerhold. His ideas were fundamental to modern theatre and have influenced major directors such as Peter Brook, Grotowski and Brecht.

James Beale
Director of Proper Job Theatre Company, James has been working with Gennadi Bogdanov since 1994 - one of the last living links to Meyerhold's technique. James is an innovative director of Biomechanics and has been teaching since 2000.

Proper Job Theatre Company & Small Light Young Actors Company present The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. A magical family show for the festive season!

"It’s wartime and four children are evacuated to an old house with a magical wardrobe. Inside the wardrobe they find Narnia, a kingdom where it’s always winter and never Christmas. A kingdom that’s on the verge of an epic conflict between a snow queen and a lion. Are you brave enough to share the adventures of the children? Have you the courage to stand shoulder to shoulder with Aslan, the great lion, and fight the snow queen? Narnia is waiting; it needs your help..."
