Set in the breathless Spanish heat and infused with the passion of flamenco and live guitar, this is a startling new re-imagining of Shakespeare’s enduring love story. Fast-paced and dramatic, with Shakespeare’s text stripped back to its essence, the show incorporates dance, physicality, singing and music to create an unforgettable sensory blowout.

Romeo and Juliet 2010 National Tour

Autumn 2010 saw Proper Job launch its first nationwide tour with an exciting Federico García Lorca-esque interpretation of Romeo and Juliet. The tour kicked off with a five night run at London’s Courtyard Theatre in September.

The tour was precipitated by the success of the 2009 sell-out preview at Square Chapel Centre for The Arts in Halifax. The version of Shakespeare’s classic love story was also used to engage school groups with accompanying energetic pre-performance workshops. Through the venture, Proper Job reached our largest and broadest audience to-date.
