Talent Match is a Big Lottery funded mentoring scheme for young people aged 18 - 24 who are out of work or training. Proper Job are contracted by Your Consortium to deliver the project in Kirklees.

Here at Proper Job, we take a unique approach to the scheme. We work with the young people to develop a program that specifically addresses their wants and needs for progression meaning that each individual takes a different journey during their time on Talent Match.

We have a team of designated, expert key-workers who have excellent knowledge of local provision and opportunities. Additionally as a theatre company we have lots of internal opportunities including projects and courses that our young people can get engaged with.

"Talent Match with Proper Job was brilliant. Before I came on Talent Match I was unemployed and couldn't get work no matter how hard I tried. Luke (my key worker) helped me find loads of local opportunities like training and jobs. In my final few months Luke found me a job as a Dance teacher which is something I'd always wanted to do, also helped me connect with an agency who get me lots of dancing jobs. I'm more confident now, better qualified and experienced and in a way better place than I was a year ago."
